Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure
Implementing Agency:
The integrated cold chain is set up by partnership/ proprietorship Firms, Companies, Corporations, Cooperatives; Self help groups (SHGs), Farmers producer Organizations (FPOs), NGOs, Central/State PSUs, etc.
Basic Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant should have sound financial background. The net worth of the applicant should be more than 1.5 times the grant applied for.
- Term loan of at least 10% of the project cost.
- Project Appraisal Report from Bank/Financial Institution. The Appraisal must contain all the project components for which grant is sought
- Date of commercial production should not be prior to the date of submission of application.
- No second proposal from the same applicant/ company

Note: No extension of time for implementation of the project will be given. In case of non-implementation of the project as per the approval letter, the Ministry would have the discretion to cancel the approval granted to the project and to recall the grant, if any, released, with interest @ 10% per annum.
Release of Grant: The grant-in-aid under the scheme is released in three instalments of 25%, 40% and 35%.
Fee Details:
The applicants are required to submit Demand Draft of ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) as refundable security deposit and ₹10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as non-refundable cost of EOI document in favour of “Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, New Delhi”.
Note: ₹1, 00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) as refundable security deposit is not applicable in case of proposals from NER and SC/ST promoter (s).
