RURAL GODOWN SCHEME

Gramin Bhandaran Yojana is a capital investment subsidy scheme which works towards the construction and renovation of the godowns in the rural areas. This scheme can also be availed by the rural godowns which are positioned in various food parks.

Objective of the scheme

Main objectives of scheme include creation of scientific storage capacity with allied facilities in rural areas to meet out various requirements of farmers for storing farm produce, processed farm produce, agricultural inputs, etc., and prevention of distress sale by creating the facility of pledge loan and marketing credit.

 Eligible Organizations

  • Proprietary/ Partnership firms
  • Companies, Corporations, Co-operatives
  • Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s)
  • Self Help Groups (SHGs)
  • Agricultural Produce Marketing Committees, Marketing Boards

 Eligible Projects.

All agricultural, horticultural and non-horticultural projects are eligible under this scheme. The illustrative (not exhaustive) examples are:

  • Cereals e.g. Wheat, Paddy, Barley, Oats, etc.
  • Pulses e.g. Pigeon Pea, Bengal Gram, Black Gram, Green Gram, Lentil, etc.
  • Millets e.g. Ragi, Sorghum, Bajra, etc.
  • Oilseeds e.g. Groundnut, Mustard, Sunflower, etc.

Time Limits

The time schedule for completion and submission of documents for final subsidy will be as follows:

Note : 1.The Project will not be Eligible for subsidy if documents are not submitted after completion within prescribed time period (including extended period of 6 months).

2.If in case advance subsidy Released will have to be refunded forthwith by the Financial Institutions
