National Small Industries Corporation Limited 

The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) a MINI RATNA Company and ISO 9001 certified, since 1955. It has been working to fulfill its mission of promoting, aiding and fostering the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and industry related small scale services / business enterprises in the country. NSIC assist MSMEs with a set of specially tailored schemes designed to put them in a competitive and advantageous position. The schemes comprise of Facilitating Marketing support, Credit support, Technology support, Raw materials support, Bill discounting, Export Marketing, Trade Fairs & Exhibitions.

Single Point Registration:

Government is the largest buyer of a various goods. For increasing the share of purchases from the small-scale sector, the Government has launched a Stores Purchase Programme in 1955-56. NSIC registers Micro & small Enterprises (MSEs) under Single Point Registration scheme (SPRS) for participation in Government Purchases.

Benefits of Registration:

The units registered under Single Point Registration Scheme of NSIC are eligible to get the benefits under “Public Procurement Policy for Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) Order 2012” as notified by the Government of India, Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, New Delhi.

  • Exemption from payment of Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): In tender participating MSEs quoting price within price band of L1+15 per cent shall also be allowed to supply a portion upto 20% of requirement by bringing down their price to L1 Price where L1 is non MSEs. Every Central Ministries/Departments/PSUs shall set an annual goal of minimum 20 % of the total annual purchases of the products or services produced or rendered by MSEs. Out of annual requirement of 20% procurement from MSEs, 4% is earmarked for units owned by Schedule Caste /Schedule Tribes. In addition to the above, 358 items are also reserved for exclusive purchase from SSI Sector.

Eligibility:

All Micro & Small Enterprises which are registered with the Director of Industries (DI)/District Industries Centre (DIC) as manufacturing/service enterprises or having Acknowledgement of Entrepreneurs Memorandum (EM Part-II) are eligible for registration with NSIC under its Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS). The Provisional Registration Certificate can be issued to Micro & Small Enterprises who have already commenced their commercial production but not completed one year of existence. Registration scheme with monitory limit of Rs. 5.00 Lacs which shall be valid for the period of one year only from the date of issue after levying the registration fee and obtaining the requisite documents.

Raw Materials Assistance:

Raw Materials Assistance Scheme aims at helping Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises by way of financing the purchase of any Raw Materials (both Indigenous & imported). This gives an opportunity to MSMEs focus better on manufacturing quality products. Financial Assistance for procurement of Raw Materials on credit up to 90 days. Bulk purchase of basic raw materials like Aluminium from NALCO & BALCO, Paraffin Wax from CPCL, Steel from SAIL, RINL, SMPL at competitive rates. NSIC facilitates import of scarce raw materials.

NSIC makes 100% immediate payment to the supplier irrespective of its location on the basis of invoice/ proforma invoice copies supplied by the MSMEs units. No restriction of supplier for the MSMEs units. The MSMEs unit can purchase any material from any supplier from anywhere in the globe. NSIC facilitates financing for marketing activates such as Internal Marketing, Exports and Bill Discounting

Tender Marketing:

NSIC participates in bulk global tender enquirers and local tenders of Central & State Government and Public sector enterprises on behalf of MSME units. It is aimed to assist MSMEs with ability to manufacture quality products but which lack brand equity and credibility or have limited financial capabilities. Under this scheme, the Corporation has identified large number of items for which it actively participates in tenders of these Departments and Enterprises. On receipt of the orders, Corporation farms out these orders to the units on whose behalf it has been quoted.

Infomediary Services:

Information today is becoming almost as vital as the air we breathe. We need it every minute of our working lives. With increase in competition and melting away of international boundaries, the demand for information is reaching new heights. NSIC, realizing the needs of MSMEs, is offering infomediary Services which is a one-stop, one-window bouquet of aids that will provide information on business, technology and finance, and also exhibit the core competence of Indian SMEs.

Buyer – Seller Meets:

NSIC organizer Buyer – Seller meets by inviting the large buyer like Railway, BHEL, Defence establishment and other PSU’s and MSME units on a single platform and arrange one to one business meets, thereby enabling the scope of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to supply to the Government sector and gain knowledge in the polices, purchase procedure adopted by them.
